Here's a list of our most Frequently Asked Questions, if you don't see the answer(s) to your question(s) here please feel free to Contact Us. 

Why are shipping charges not calculated on your site?  We don't have shipping charges calculated into our site due to some customers want shipping through one company only, whereas some customers want whichever shipper is cheaper.  Due to everchanging shipping rates this also keeps us from having to constantly update everytime shippers raise their rates.  We realize this may be an inconvenience to some, but, this is the only way we can give our customers accurate shipping charges with whichever shipper they prefer to use.  Accurate shipping charges is all we charge, we aren't in business to make money off shipping.  If an order is placed the customer will be contacted with shipping options and costs.  Payment for shipping charges must be paid before any order can be shipped.  If you would like a total with shipping options and costs please email us with your order at pleasureridgecandles@yahoo.com.  All orders placed online and paid prior to shipping costs will have 7 business days to make payment for shipping costs.  If payment for shipping costs is not received within 7 business days the order will be canceled and payment will be refunded via paypal, unless other arrangements have been made.

 Do you have a catalog?  Sorry, but at this time we don't offer a print catalog because our selection of items and fragrances frequently change.  All of our items can be viewed on the Store page of this website.

What are the burn times for your candles?  Our candle burns are an approximation ONLY!  We do test burns and this is how we arrive at our burn times.  Burn times vary and can be affected by numerous factors such as the following:

  • Trimming of wicks or not (trimming each wick to 1/4" IS recommended prior to each burn)
  • Traffic flow around and near candle(s)
  • Presence of draft(s) around or near candle(s)
  • Temperature, humidity, etc.
    We here at Pleasure Ridge Candles have no way of knowing what conditions the end user is burning the candle(s), thus can't guarantee a precise burn times. We do note burn times for our 8 oz. and 16 oz. jar container candles, but these are approximations ONLY, based on the test burns we perform, but are NOT guaranteed! Our approximate burn times are as follows:
    • 8 oz. jar container candles - approximately 45 - 48 hours
    • 16 oz. jar container candles - approximately 90 - 96 hours

    Do you offer a color chart? We don't offer a color chart for a variety of reasons. The main reason being that the color(s) displayed on computer monitors differ from monitor to monitor. Another reason being that ALL candles are made at the time of your order. Although, for example, Batch "A" and Batch "B" are the exact same color, scent, etc., different batches may differ slightly in color. Don't forget, our candles ARE hand-poured, just for you, not mass produced.Do you offer "special" orders? Do you want your Hot Apple Pie scented candle to be blue? You've come to the right place! Yes, we do offer, welcome, and accept special orders of BASIC color changes, but due to costs, etc., ALL special orders must be a minimum order of 6 (8 oz.) or 3 (16 oz.). There is no extra charge for this service, we just ask that you contact us immediately following the placement of your order at pleasureridgecandles@yahoo.com and note your basic color requirement(s). If the color you need is unusual, please check with us first BEFORE placing your order. 

    Can't find the fragrance you're looking for? Drop us a line and let us know. We are always looking for new scent suggestions.

    Can I pick up my order?  We do offer LOCAL pick up and delivery.  Please contact us for details.

    Do you ship outside of the United States?  Sorry, but unfortunately we only ship to The United States at this time.

    Do you ship to APO/FPO addresses?  Sorry, but due to problems with delivery, we do NOT ship to APO/FPO addresses.

    Can you ship to a PO Box?  Yes!  We ship to PO Boxes via US Priority Mail.

    What payment methods do you accept?  At this time, all orders placed through our secure online shopping cart can be paid through PayPal.  We will accept checks, but certain restrictions may apply.  LOCAL checks ONLY will be accepted.  If you are wanting to place an order and pay via check, please contact us prior to ordering for requirements.

    How long will it take before I receive my order? We usually ship regular retail orders within 3 - 5 business days, beginning the day AFTER you place your order. During peak seasons and Holidays, please allow a few extra days. Depending on the delivery area your package is being shipped to, shipping time may take an additional 2 - 5 days. Upon placement of your order, you will receive a confirmation email, and the same applies to when we actually ship your order. We strive for customer satisfaction and if anything concerning your order changes, we will let you know right away.
